Cute Collabo: Jil Sander and Damiani Jewlery

Jil Sander has teamed up with jewelry house Damiani to give a nod to the punk rock generation, think safety pins as earrings, but adorned with gold and stones (aquamarine, onyx, smoky quartz, citrine), Tahitian pearls/diamonds to create a punk, edgy, and all the while feminine ear spear I mean earring. These lovely pieces added a bit of glam when paired with Jil Sander Spring 09 black/white minimalist collection. Each pair has had me mesmerized for months and mesmerized I shall stay because they retail between $4,500-$10,000. I know it’s wrong to say, but I’m hoping some designer in the $40-$100 dollar price range a gets “inspired” by the two design houses and creates similar pieces for the masses!

Date to Wear: Wild Child Headpiece

Are you a wild child? I guess that’s the question implied by Gold Saturn’s Wild Child Headpiece. I’m not really sure how/when I would wear this but, I’m drawn to this little accessory yet at the same time frightened to actually wear it. What I do love is that I can finally get my hands on a piece of runway fashion. The Wild Child headpiece was definitely inspired by the Spring 09 Diane von Furstenberg. However the headpieces seen on the likes of rising supermodel Chanel Iman aren’t sold anywhere that is until Gold Saturn. By the way these aren’t runway prices 25 dollars for perfectly placed faux flowers on ribbon with an elastic band backing. Are you wild enough to wear it? Happy Shopping!

Shoe find of the Week: 80%20 Sadie Wedge

Spring is in the air, even if it’s supposed to rain this weekend! Nothing says Spring like a corked wedge shoe; however one of my favorite shoe designers 80%20 has done an update yet retro twist on a classic! The wonderful “Sadie” wedge comes in some fun spring colors like coral, yellow, seafoam, eggplant and of course my favorite Navy which I plan on wearing with jeans and skirts a like! 80%20 describes the shoe as "MILF shoe, hot mom in the 70s inspired: which of course makes me laugh, and makes me want them even more. I’m no MILF (heck I’m not even a mom yet), but I plan on wearing them anyway. I guess you should try them out too so throw out those old ked and those preppy top siders and slip your foot into the “Sadie Cork Wedge” you just have to wait until the end of February they are available yet!

P.S. The sneak peak for these or the rest of the Spring 09 aren’t even on the 80%20 site yet, I’ll post another one of my favorite shoes next week!
